This particular property is one I sell a lot of due to the amazing deals they have throughout the year so it was a must visit type of trip.
It’s a 5 star family based property (but also great for couples), short walk to Khao Lak street, they offer breakfast or half board packages and they also have some pretty amazing pool access rooms which we stayed in.
Firstly, its an hours drive from Phuket airport heading up North compared to that of Patong/Kata Karon beaches and the likes.
Its nestled right along the beach with a few other resorts, not quite as big or as popular as this one.
On Arrival its Airy, Fresh with welcoming staff off a late flight arrival.
Our Room was a Family pool access Room which was located in the Aqua Wing which is where all of the water slides, pools and swim up bar and kids club, perfect for the small families.
Perfect location with our own private pool access straight out of our door with patio area, plus just hope skip and a jump to the water slides and kids club.
There is 3 areas to this property, 3 pool areas and one of these is the Adults only pool area.
From Sea facing wing at the front of the property, (here you can have the Junior Suite pool access rooms sea facing, the standard rooms and some family rooms (no family pool access), this area is furthest away from the Aqua wing.
Next is the wing closest to reception area and overlooks the Lagoon part of the resort. Here is the Junior suite pool access rooms and also some family pool access rooms if you are not wanting the aqua wing.
Their Gym is a great size with all equipment that you would need while on holiday. Kids club is well equipped. Any child from baby to 12 years is allowed in this area (another area for teens next to the gym) If your child is under the age of 4, a nanny is required to be with them in the kids club if you are not in there. Only costing is 200 baht per hour.
Buffet breakfast included in the Resort is as I expected. A lot on offer which is rotated with different options daily. No complaints here.
I chose to stick with the Breakfast only as I didn’t want to be stuck to having dinner included at the restaurant each night, I wanted to experience true Thai on the streets.
It’s a 3 minute walk from the Resort up the main street (remember Thailand is hot and Humid so can feel like a tough walk the first day you arrive)- call it a shock to the system if you don’t come from a humid climate.
We explored some amazing cafes, bars and restaurants whilst we were there for the week and we honestly didn’t experience one bad meal. Amazing Authentic Thai Meals alongside the Aussies favorites on offer. We ate at a different restaurant each night as we wanted to experience as much as possible and there wasn’t a night where we spend more than $60AUD!!! That’s amazing for 4 people, main meals, entrée, drinks and all.
Traveling with a 2 year old means some restrictions on what you can do or what you want to do due to safety or other reasons. So we went up into Khao Sok to the Elephants and spent some time with them, washing and bathing them in the River. Its about 50 minute drive further up into the hills but their roads are surprisingly great so its an enjoyable drive.
We went to their Khao Lak markets which are on 4 nights of the week and are great. So many stalls to grab a bargain and plenty of food to feed the tummies.
We decided to grab a private driver for a day and headed into Phuket town/Patong. Streets are harder to walk around here with kids but I had been here before so knew what I was in for.
We then headed to the Old Phuket Town to their Sunday night Market. This is honestly a must!!! A brilliant market that takes up two streets. It is a total Vibe with live music, food, drinks, stalls and more. From 4-11pm you can experience this every Sunday!
May is heading into Thailand’s wet season, it did rain 4 our of the 7 days pretty much at the same time of day but I find it a welcome relief from the humidity and heat.
Overall it was great to experience a different part of Thailand.
All questions welcome.
